Member Inspection Team of the Lahore High Court initiated inquiry against a Senior Civil Judge Amir Habib on charges of embezzlement in funds given to him for the purchase of computers. The LHC administration had issued Rs 05 million fund for the purchase of computers and furniture in 2010. Contrary to the instructions, the judge had procured laptops instead of the computers and kept six laptops for his personal use.

The judge also misappropriated the funds by showing Rs 80,000 price of each laptop whereas the market price was Rs 30,000 only.
